about

When Saint-Saens set about composing the Le Carnaval des Animaux, he, being on vacation, accidentally wrote the whole thing for the Glass Harmonica.
In the five years it took Gustav Holst to write The Planets, his two-pianos-and-an-organ became a full orchestra with extra strings and a guy sitting in the back to make baby noises during "Pluto, Bringer of A Damn Sandwich."
I don't pretend this is as good as Saint-Saens' little vacation piece. I also don't pretend it's as good as Holst's planets. What is is, though, is seven pieces about days of the week. Eight if you're nasty.

This represents the July and August Sklib releases.
